WHITE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS, a.k.a. PELOSI, ET AL
This is from Mychal Massie’s The Daily Rant newsletter.  He is a black guy and a true American patriot.  I think this is too good; too appropriate not to share.

White liberal Democrats are the most jaundiced sociopathic transcendently dishonest life forms on earth. They are an infectious variola that has metamorphosed into bipedal sapiens comprising the Democrat Party to its very core. And let there be no doubt; the behavior they exhibit today is the legacy of their party platform since 1840.

FOOTBALL & THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE
Watched some football on the television this afternoon.  As I watched it occurred to me that football scores are much like the Electoral College results.  Or, the Electoral College results are much like football scores.  If a football team gains 289 yards, but no touchdowns, and the other team gains 185 yards, but scores two touchdowns, who wins the game?

So it is with the Electoral College.  It doesn’t matter how many votes you get.  What matters is how many states you get.  I wonder if the Democrats understand this?

THE NEW ERA OF SPORTS
I just finished watching the last ten minutes of the Oklahoma versus Kansas State football game—six minutes of play time versus four minutes of dead time for the dispute of an on-field call by a referee.   With less than two minutes to play Oklahoma needed a TD and PA to tie/win (2-point PA) the game.  The referee called an Oklahoma player touched the football during the onside kickoff by Oklahoma before it went the prescribed ten yards, and awarded the football to Kansas State.  The Oklahoma coach protested and called for a video replay.  Time was called and the referee spent two minutes looking at the video replay.  He finally ruled the Oklahoma player did touch the football and signaled Kansas State’s ball. The Oklahoma coach immediately lurched into a two minute verbal protest with the referees.  All the while no play on the field-of-play.
Baseball isn’t much better.  I watched most of the third game of the World Series (Astros -vs- Nationals) and the close calls were challenged with video replay to settle the challenges.
This is the reason I’m less and less interested to watch sports.  More emphasis is placed on the video replays than the referee’s (umpire’s) call on the field-of-play.  More and more time is taken to decide the outcome of the calls. This not only slows down the game, but takes the human element out of the game.  The game is supposed to be a contest of humans, not video cameras.
I foresee the day when every aspect of the game and field-of play will be covered by numerous video cameras.   Referees and umpires will no longer be needed.  Cameras will record balls and strikes.  A master computer will gather all the play-by-play data from the field- of-play cameras.  A super computer algorithm will make all calls and broadcast the results on a mega-screen.  Spectators  will watch the video screen, thus eliminate the human factor (referees and umpires) from the games.  A look to the future I foresee sports as a huge massive video game.  We're already trending that way.

I yearn for the days I played sports when the players and the game were the most interesting part to watch--not referees, not umpires, not video replays, not argumentative coaches.

PICTURES - TRUE OR FALSE?
A picture (photo) is worth a thousand words. But, are the words true or false? Today, we see all kinds of pictures from all manner of sources.  They include television, Internet, social media, etc. You name it.  They often show some poor child in dire circumstances or even death.  They often show people of all stripes in  some situation of distress and/or despair.  The pictures are often altered in some manner to promote a cause.  The contents of the pictures are often misrepresented as to who, when, where, what and how.  This link is a classical example:
I’ve come to question almost all I hear and little of what I see.  In today’s era of information overload it becomes more and more difficult to separate truth from falsehood.  Too often we collectively have a knee-jerk reaction to some widely dispersed photo used to promote a cause or political agenda.  These photos are all too often false.

Question all you hear and most of what you see.

BETO & GUNS
Democrat Beto advocates gun confiscation.  Asked how he replied that he would ask people to voluntarily turn in their guns.  Asked what he would do if some people refused to voluntarily surrender their gun, he said he would send police officers to get the guns.
The most dangerous task the police could ever be asked to do is knock on a gun owner's front door and announce he was there to get his guns.  The police know for certain they would not be greeted by open arms, but rather probably by a hail of bullets.  Not a good situation.
Some idiots are bigger idiots than other idiots.  Beto is the king of all idiots.

ELIZABETH WARREN &  HER CHEROKEE HERITAGE
Elizabeth Warren, the Democrat candidate for the nomination of the party, made much ado about her Cherokee heritage until a DNA test showed she had no American Indian blood whatsoever.  However, I do think I know how it is she came to think she was part Cherokee.  I’ll illustrate from my own Cherokee heritage.
My great grandfather, an Irishman nicknamed Trick, served in the Texas 12th Cavalry during the Civil War.  At the end of the war he and some buddies fled to Mexico to keep from having to surrender their guns and horses to the Federals. After about two years of negotiation they were paroled and came back across the Rio Grande.  They were in far deep Texas far from home (Johnson County) with little wherewithal.
The affects of the Civil War caused a large shortage of beef in the North.  Cattle were worth only a few dollars a head but worth $40 a head at the railheads in Missouri and Kansas.  Trick and pals decided to round up a herd of those wild longhorn cattle that roamed all over south Texas.  They drove their herd north, not without dangers from the environment and hostiles.  About half way they successfully partnered with a Texas rancher with a much larger herd and drove them across Indian Territory into Kansas.  Trick worked for the rancher as a drover and scout on several other cattle drives.  Trick saw much of the rangeland in Indian Territory and knew it was good for grazing cattle.  He also became acquainted with the landscape.
Trick decided to finally return to home on his family’s land grant ranch in Johnson County near the small community of Egan.  There he met Lugaine, a part Cherokee young lady.  Her father was half Scot and half Cherokee.  Her mother was Cherokee. Her father was a Methodist circuit rider for the several communities in a surrounding five-county area.  It was at a church function that Trick was smote by the lovely Lugaine.  They married a few months later.
Since Lugaine was mostly Cherokee she was entitled to a ‘headright’ in Indian Territory.  A few years and two children later they gathered what little official identification Lugaine had and sent it to a lawyer in Talhequah, the Cherokee capital.  He specialized in processing legal claims for headrights that would legally entitle them to claim large acres of land.
A year went by and Lugaine had not heard from the lawyer in Talhequah.  She sent an inquiry to the Lawyer. (NOTE: Keep in mind this was in the 1870’s.  No Internet, no telephones, no copy machines, etc. There was telegraph, but it was sparse.) The reply that came back was the lawyer’s office had burned to the ground destroying all the paperwork  and unprocessed headrights, including Lugaine’s.  This so incensed Trick that he packed Lugaine and kids up in a covered wagon and crossed Red River into Indian Territory.  There he staked out a sizable homestead.  Thus, he was a ‘sooner’, illegals that came sooner than allowed by law.
After awhile and after considerable inquiry Trick and Lugaine learned that the lawyer sold headlights to the highest bidders, usually white people.  His office then conveniently burned to the ground destroying all evidence.
Elizabeth Warren’s ancestor, whose picture hung in a prominent place in their household, may have been the one white guy that bought Lugainie’s headright. Thus, Elizabeth’s claim to a Cherokee heritage.
THE LITTLE BIG GUY - JOSE ALTUVE
Just finished watching the ALCS game #6 with Houston Astros playing the New York Yankees at Minute Maid Park in  Houston.  The score was tied 4 - 4 starting the bottom of the 9th inning.  Astros had one on  and 2 outs when Altuve (#27) came to bat.  The count went to 3-2.  Altuve hit the next pitch out of the ballpark to win 6 -4 for the Astros.
Several things are unusual about Altuve.  First he is only 5 feet, 6 inches tall.  I don’t know of another professional ball player that size.  They all stand head to head and shoulders taller than Altuve.  He plays 2nd base and turned a double play to end the Yankees rebound.  His batting average for the game was .348.  His lifetime batting average is .315.  Few players ever achieve that.  Overall, a remarkable 29-year old guy.  His first words on post game TV was to thank God, his teammates, the Houston fans, and the organization (Jim Crane, owner).  He was awarded MVP.  As he accepted the trophy he said all the team were MVP’s.
You have to love the little big guy.

CHECKS and BALANCES
We hear politicians incessantly speak of a system of checks and balances in our form of government.  It implies opposing sides will meet and come to a consensus for an equitable and fair solution of problems.  Far from it.  We have all checks and no balances.  The opposing view points are two-edge swords that cut and slash the opposition to make them ineffective and of little or no relevance.  You would think mature adult people could seek and find a common ground best for all.  Not so.  It’s all about crushing the opposition and the acquisition of power to impose a certain political agenda on the rest of us.
Mr. Smith!  Where art thou?  (For you youngsters the 1939 movie, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington with James Stewart and Jean Arthur, portrays an idealistic Mr. Smith who goes to Washington to take on the corrupt Congress.)

HOME SCHOOLING VERSUS PUBLIC EDUCATION
Today, I heard some educational expert say on TV that home schooled students are not as well educated as public school educated students.
I beg to differ.  When I meet school age kids I can tell within a minute whether they are home educated or public school educated.  The home schooled kids are polite and respectful.  They speak clearly and thoughtfully for a kid.  Some are downright bright. They are almost always properly dressed for the occasion.  They can effectively relate to an adult.  I seldom see these same qualities in public school educated kids, through there are exceptions.
On occasion I've been invited by public educated kids to attend certain school functions as their guests, such as Veterans Day.  I've been around a boy grooming and training his cow for the county fair.  I had the corrals and sheds I let him use for his project.  We talked often.  One day much to my surprise he said, "Mr. Davidson,  I learn more in 15 minutes of talk with you than I learn all week in school."
   I rest my case.

MY BOOK
My apology, folks.  I haven't posted for several days. I've written a fictionalized account of the life experiences of my family, friends, wife and me. I got a digital proof of the book a week ago.  I've spent most of the past several days proofing the book, making changes in format and style, and coordinating with the publisher.  All very time consuming along with my other day-to-day living activities.  I actually missed two days from gym to work on my book.  I submitted details of my proof changes to the publisher via email about 11:30 last night.  In a few days I will get another proof version to verify all the changes were made.  If so, my book will go to publication, and will be available in about six weeks after. The plan is to have it available on AMAZON and by eBook.  That will come a little later.  I hope to get back into the swing of things posting my thoughts and opinions on my blog.  Thanks.

RUSSIA, UKRAINE & CHINA
Our erstwhile government representatives and the national news media all run around pulling out their hair over Russia and Ukraine while pretty much ignoring China.  They fan the flames of crisis after crisis over two four-bit nations in the grand scheme of things.  All the while China, the world's second largest and most powerful nation, is breathing down our collective neck.  Ever since the close of WW II our government has expended mountains of time, resource, and money to transfer incredible tons of technology and know-how to China.  For what?
Until Trump, China has been favorably treated as a Third World nation in terms of economic preference and wherewithal.  All the while, China makes substantial economic and military gains world-wide as we (Democrats and Republicans) twiddle our thumbs trying to out twiddle each another.
WAKE UP, AMERICA!  If we do not start NOW to make positive changes, we will all be learning to speak Chinese in a few years.  Be selective and critical of how you vote.

MONEY & TAXES
There’s much talk among the various Democrat presidential candidates about money and who gets what.  There’s several ways to get money.  The easiest is inheritance.  Few get that opportunity. The next easiest is handouts from the government.  Many seize on this opportunity.  Another way is steal it.  That has high risks.  Or, you can work and earn it. That’s called wealth creation.  Some are better at it than most.  Money management is the best way to grow money.  The government does not earn money.  It confiscates money via taxes or it creates money by printing more.  (Can anyone say: “Inflation”).
The government gets money by taxation in its various forms, including tariffs.  When it taxes income only the workers pay.  Contrary to general thought business owners are also workers.  They work harder than most.  Corporations do to pay taxes, including income taxes.  They pass them on as the cost of business.  All other forms of taxation are paid by the ultimate consumers.  Taxes are embedded in the cost of the goods and services the consumer buys. If Walmart assumed the cost of taxation and did not pass it on in the price of the goods, they would be out of business in less than 30 days.  Landlords do not pay taxes.  They pass them on in the price paid by the renter, the ultimate consumer.

Think long and hard how you vote.  Taxes in their various forms are a very important money factor affecting all our lives.
