The Biggest Terrorist Threat

The biggest terrorist threat to our nation resides in the White House. He and his administration refuse to acknowledge that Islamic terrorists are trying to kill us. He characterized the terrorist that attempted to blow up the Northwest airplane over Detroit as an "isolated extremist". That is a gross understatement. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows the guy was an Islamic terrorist trying to pull off a terrorist act by killing 278 people on the airplane and any number of others on the ground, and on Christmas Day. It was no incidental accident that he attempted this terrorist act on the most significant day of Christians the world over. Had he succeeded there would have been cheering among many in the Islamic world. Even though there were red flags all over indicating this guy was a terrorist risk our government in its great acquiescence to the cause of Islamic terrorism let him slip through the security net. And, when captured treat him like a common criminal that had just robbed a convenience store in Detroit. We release detainees from GITMO and send them back to the Middle East and Yemen only to have them plot ways to kill us. The only thing that saved that Northwest airplane and the people on it is the guy did not get the proper ratio in the mixture and when he detonated the device it just fizzled. The loud popping noise the passengers heard was the detonator exploding that was to detonate the explosive material in his underwear creating a major explosion over the wing with fuel tanks to explode and crash the airplane.
Are we, the people, ever going to say, "Enough is enough", and take appropriate steps to remedy the problem?

Terrorism and Health Care

Our government can't keep amateur terrorists from slipping through the security net to kill soldiers on a domestic U.S. Army base in the heart of Texas or from flying on an American airline from Amsterdam to Detroit to try to detonate a sophisticated explosive device in his underwear. They can't effectively manage the data base of 550,000 names of terrorist suspects. So, what makes them think they can effectively manage the health care of 300,000,000 American citizens and an unknown number in the millions of illegal aliens? I think not!

Africa - A Black Hole

Today in Copenhagen Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State, pledged $100 billion to the poor countries in Africa to enable them to create a "green" Africa with clean air and clean water.
I'm 81 years old. I've heard all my life that we must send money to Africa for a plethora of reasons for the purpose of improving the lives of Africans including everything from starving kids to clean air. I don't know how many $billions we've sent over the span of my lifetime, but whatever the amount there has been ZERO improvement.
Africa is just one big black hole that we keep pouring $billions into. Its time to stop, and stop NOW. Tell all those folks in Copenhagen to go home and take care of things to help their own countries and quit trying to blackmail $billions and $billions from us.

General "Black Jack" Pershing & Terrorists

A friend sent this in an email: General Black Jack Pershing was born September 13, 1860 near Laclede, MS. He died July 15, 1948 in Washington, D.C. In 1889 he served in the Spanish-American War. In 1906 he was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General. In 1909 he was Military Governor of the More Province in the Philippines. In 1916 he attained the rank of Major General and served during WW I. In 1919 he was promoted to General of the Armies. In 1921 he was appointed to Chief of Staff. In 1924 he retired from active duty.
When he served as Military Governor in the Philippines just prior to WW I there were a number of terrorists attacks on the United States forces in the Philippines by Muslim extremists. So General Pershing captured 50 Muslim terrorists and had them tied to posts for execution. He then had his men bring in two pigs and slaughter them in front of the now terrified terrorists. Muslims detest pork because they believe pigs are filthy animals. Some of them simply refuse to eat it, while others won't even touch pigs, at all, nor any of their by-products. To them eating or touching a pig, its meat, its blood, etc. is to be instantly barred from paradise (and those virgins) and doomed to hell. The soldiers then soaked their bullets in the pigs' blood, and proceeded to execute 49 of them by firing squad. The soldiers then dug a big hole, dumped in the terrorists bodies and covered them in pig blood, entrails, etc. They let the 50th terrorist go. And, for the next 42 years there was not a single Muslim extremist attack anywhere in the world.

My reply to my friend was: Now that is the way to get Muslim terrorists' attention. Pershing used an old Indian trick, let one go so he can go tell the others. I've said for a long time that when we capture Muslim terrorists that we strip them naked and throw them in a pen of starving pigs. Then a few days later scoop up the pig dung, ship it to Israel and spread it on the fields for fertilizer. Let one terrorist witness it all. Ship him with the pig dung fertilizer to Israel and turn him loose barefoot so he has to run through the pig dung to the border. . . . but, then I'm cut from the same bolt of cloth as Pershing.

We not only coddle criminals but also coddle terrorists. That is not the way to fight a war. You get the enemy's attention and bring him to his knees begging for mercy. Then you can "negotiate" from a position of power. Do you think Truman coddled the Japanese to end WW II. No. He dropped the bomb. It killed men, women, children, dogs, cats, and anything else around. It took two bombs but the Japanese begged for mercy. I served during WW II but not in combat thankfully. I am one of the many troops that would have fought in Japan had Truman not dropped the bomb and we invaded the home islands. I also worked a short while in the Middle East in the early 1960's. When I first arrived an old Englishman that had worked in that part of the world for many years took me aside and said, "Son, the way you deal with these people is hobble their camel, break their sword, cut out their tongue, and speak softly to them." I don't think much has changed since then in that respect. What has changed is WE are obsessed with political correctness and a fondness for negotiation from a position of weakness.

Later, my friend replied: "Only I feel sorry for the pigs. This looks like a good way to keep terrorists off Israeli soil. Good old General Pershing. The pig method might be better than waterboarding." To which I say: Amen.
