Welfare Queens and Pimps

Have you noticed you NEVER see a man in the checkout line at Walmart paying for a shopping cart load of stuff with an EBT (welfare debit) card?

Its ALWAYS a woman, usually a fat one at that, with several kids hanging on the cart.  A man is no where to be seen, until she goes out the door.  Then one suddenly appears and loads the stuff into a vehicle.  This guy may or may not be the father of one or more of the kids.  So, what is his responsibility?  None apparently.

The welfare pimps never marry their queens.  They just father children to enhance the welfare benefits for him and his woman.  If he works its never reported that he has contributed anything to the upkeep of the kids.  Otherwise, he may have to be responsible.

I think, among other things, that when a welfare queen has a child the welfare authorities require a blood sample from the child for DNA to be able to determine who the father is so he can be rousted into court and held responsible for the support of his offspring.

Also, while I'm ranting, if the government can levy a heavy tax on tanning salons, then they should also levy a heavy tax on tattoo parlors.  Have you noticed that almost all the women in the checkout lines at Walmart that pay with an EBT card have tattoos all over?  They wear slutty skimpy clothing to display their tattoos.  That's one of the ways for them to rub the taxpayers noses in it.

Demagoguery

What Democrats do best. . . .Demagoguery.

They can take an issue or an event and demagogue it on no end.  They can take a defeat and demagogue it into a victory.  They can demagogue a failure into a success. They can make black into white.  All the while blaming Republicans, Conservatives, and especially the TEA Party for not cooperating and compromising to achieve their liberal agenda while exonerating themselves of any blame for any failures.

Joseph Goebbels, the Minister of Propaganda for Germany during WW II, said, "If you tell people something loud enough and long enough they will believe anything."

Seems the Democrats adopted and use Goebbels' manual of propaganda.

Armed Protection - Politicians or School Kids

A question keeps nagging me that begs for an answer.

Why do liberal Democrat politicians have tax payer funded armed security protection, yet want to deny school teachers and kids the protection of armed security?  I can't believe that any "crazy" intent on shooting up a classroom of kids would attempt such an act in the presence of an armed security officer.  They may be crazy, but they're not stupid.

Near as I can determine the high profile politicians, celebrities, movie actors, entertainers, et al that speak so vehemently against guns all have armed security guards accompany them every where they go.  We have armed guards protecting money in banks and armored cars, and elsewhere.  So, why are the liberals and their ilk so ferociously against guns in the hands of responsible citizens trained and licensed to posses a firearm, and especially against armed security protection for our most precious possessions, our kids?  Go figure!

As Wayne LaPierre of the NRA said, "The way to stop a bad man with a gun is a good man with a gun."

Blue Funk

I'm caught up in a blue funk.

I just can't get interested in commenting on anything of substance.  All this crazy stuff going on all around and I can't dig down deep and come up with anything of substance to say about it.  I guess I'm just getting to be a cynical old man.  What can be said when it seems we are intent on our own self destruction?  All I see is rapid decline of our societal and cultural mores with no end in sight.  We're on the precipice of a fiscal abyss with little reason to be optimistically hopeful our erstwhile lawmakers have the intestinal fortitude to resolve the problem.  Our president and campaigner-in-chief is mostly MIA when it comes to governance.  His idealogical socialistic agenda has our liberties and freedoms on the cusp of an abyss of destruction.

I feel so funky I think I'll go drink a glass of wine and go to bed.

Good night.

Mayan Calendar - End of the World

There's those that attach much significance to the fact the Mayan Calendar ends in a few days on December 21st in the year 2012, and that signals the end of the world.  Since the Mayan Calendar was etched in stone they just ran out of space.  I'd say, "Get a larger stone."

The real and present threat is not the Mayan Calendar, rather it's some power hungry crazy human that develops a weapon used to wipe mankind off the face off the earth.  The planet earth will just keep on trucking without us, and God will look down in dismay and utter, "What hath I wrought?"

Creativity & Evolution

Creativity today is under assault from many quarters.  Those that doubt creativity often believe solely in evolution.

I can't understand why anyone would doubt the existence of creativity.  One needs only to look around and observe their surroundings.  The sun rises, the sun sets every day.  The moon is a regular occurrence in the night sky.  The tides come in and the tides go out.  There is Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.  We have an abundance of an unending variety of plants.  Animals of all kinds, sizes and shapes roam the landscape.  The human body is an extremely intricate complex thing, as are all living organisms.  All this cannot possibly have just happened.  It's marvelous that something the size of an acorn can grow to be a mighty oak tree.

Evolution on the other hand is somewhat like gravity, an unseen force.  We know and feel the effects of gravity.  Evolution is also unseen but not so readily observable.  The question to ask about evolution is, "What is the force that makes it work?"

Guns Kill People?

Every time there is a killing of a high profile person, such as Jovan Belcher an NFL football player and his girl friend, or a white on black (George Zimmerman), with a gun the bleeding heart liberals and the "lame brain" news media proclaim from high heaven that "Guns kill people" and begin beating the drums for more and more gun control.  Well know sports announcer, Bob Costas, took to the TV airwaves with a microphone in hand and proclaimed that if the football player didn't have a gun then his girl friend and he would be alive today.

I don't know where these people have their heads, but I highly suspect it is somewhere the sun don't shine.

Last night I zipped off an email to Bill O'Reilly that it was the microphone.  That if Costas hadn't had a microphone then there would not be all this controversy about his plea on a sports program to do away with guns.

We never hear from the liberal main stream media about the woman that was bludgeoned to death by a plumber's wrench, or about the woman that cut off her little kid's head with a knife and put it in a freezer, or about the guy that shot his own father dead in a University of Wyoming classroom with a crossbow, or the woman that drowned her kids in a bathtub.  In keeping with the logic of the Liberal "nutcakes" then plumber wrenches, butcher knives, crossbows, and bathtubs must be outlawed.

To Heck with the Poor

The poor have always been with us, even since before Biblical times, and the poor will always be with us no matter what.  Our government has spent over a trillion $ on the poor since the LBJ Great Society giveaway.  And for what?  The percent of the population that was poor in 1965 is about the same as it is today.  No improvement to speak of.  So what's the point?

Following is an article by Charley Reese that appeared in The Suncoast News, June 27, 1981.  It pretty well sums it all up in 2012 as well:

TO HECK WITH THE POOR

The poor.  Don't you get sick of hearing liberals talk about "The Poor" as if they were some special species of human being with inherent virtues the rest of us don't have?  I do.  To heck with The Poor.

I have been poor and I can tell you there is no virtue in it.  Poor people are a liability.  They don't invest in the country, they don't pay their fair share of taxes and they consume a disproportionate amount of the public benefits.  They are parasites.

Some people are poor through no fault of their own, just bad luck, but some people are poor entirely because of their own fault.  They deserve no sympathy whatsoever.  Their poverty is a form of justice.  People who are lazy, dishonest and irresponsible deserve to be poor forever.  It's insane to believe, as liberals do, that the situation they themselves created and deserve confers on us an obligation to take bread out of children's mouths and give it to them, less a deduction for the bureaucrats in the poverty industry.

Every decent poor person I've ever known hoped fervently that his poverty was a temporary condition.  He certainly didn't go around bragging about it and labeling himself "The Poor".

I'm sick of this inverted system liberalism has imposed on us.  You hear people complain, well the poor can't go to college.  The poor aren't supposed to go to college, just like the poor aren't supposed to go to the Riviera.  Being poor means not having enough money to do much more than just get by, so where does some poor person get off claiming he has a right to all the things he can't pay for?

Poor people, like rich people, have their rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights.  Nothing in the Bill of Rights says that those who work are obligated to support those who don't.  Nothing in the Bill of Rights says that those who are lucky are obligated to support those who are unlucky.

If a poor kid wants to go to college, then he should do the same thing millions of other poor kids have done, work his way through.  If he can, great.  If he can't, too bad.  There is nothing in the Constitution which guarantees that everyone will be able to do exactly what they would like to do.  A man's goal ought to be to go as far as he can within the limits circumstances imposed on him.  That's better than sitting around bewailing the circumstances.

People used to be ashamed of being poor, but now some poor people are arrogant about it.  To heck with them.  I don't say let them eat cake; I say let them eat anything they can acquire through honest labor. . .theirs, not mine.

Human nature being what it is, we ought to devise ways to make it tougher on The Poor instead of easier.  As Brother Dave says, when a man is down, kick him and you'll give him an incentive to get up.

I think for example, we ought to take the vote away from The Poor.  They can't pay for government, so why should they have a voice in running it.  We ought to levy a  special tax on cheap wine and on low rents.  We ought to tax the unemployed and if they can't pay it, put them in public workhouses to work it off.

When I was a member in good standing of The Poor, I couldn't wait to get out.  Now, too many persons are enjoying poverty.  We should see to it that poverty is once more the miserable state it should be. ~ Charley Reese
