CHINA - THE ENEMY

China is not our friend. China is not our friendly adversary. China is not our hostile adversary. China is our enemy.  China purposefully unleashed this COVID-19 virus to create bedlam and weaken us. China has purposefully infiltrated our universities and colleges with covert agents spying and stealing intellectual properties for use to undermine us. They infiltrate our high tech industries to steal technology for use to undermine us. Their publicly avowed intent is to bring use down economically and morally so they can supersede us as the premier world power.  All the while they are aided and abetted by the likes of George Soros, Democrats, Antifa, BLM,  and other leftwing useful idiot groups that serve as pawns for China to bring us to our knees so they can institute a revolutionary socialistic country.   If they think China will applaud  them for this  they are grossly ignorant.  If it ever does come about China will consume them like a hound dog on  a pork chop.

I’ve seen  this movie before.  Only the bad guy character has changed.  In the 1930’s Japan was arising as an industrial power with visions of expansion in Asia.  They made several highly successful military excursions into Korea and China.  They were so successful they expanded their imperialism into the South China Sea.  We, the United States, attempted to counter this intrusion with economic sanctions. Japan came to view us as a serious impediment and began to gear up militarily.  They planted various sympathizers in critical areas.  Thus, reports from Hawaii that a large part of the U.S. Navy Fleet was at anchor in Pearl Harbor, a small confined area for such a large number of ships, they seized on  the opportunity to cripple our fleet thus achieve military dominance to bring us to accept their terms.  What they missed in their calculations was the unified spirit and cooperation of the American people.  The rest is history.

Today China is the Japan of yesteryear. They are aggressively expanding into  the South China Sea and Southeast Asia.  We are attempting to bring about a balance in the area through negotiations.  China is in no mood for serious negotiation.  They are feeling their oats.  Our industrial complex has become so embedded in the China economy they see it as a choke hold. Thus, they act accordingly.

I foresee this situation will not improve in our favor unless we have  strong and positive leadership from our national leaders.  At this time I am not overly assured we are capable or willing to arise to meet the occasion.  Time will tell.

FREE SPEECH

The 1st amendment of the Constitution guarantees freedom of speech.  However, the Supreme Court has ruled that to shout “FIRE!” in a crowded theater when they is no fire is not acceptable free speech.  The Supreme Court has also ruled that burning the American flag in public as a protest against the government is acceptable free speech. The national news media wholeheartedly endorses this ruling.  The question that haunts me is why is it not an acceptable protest against the government to publicly display the Confederate battle flag?  And, don't give me this nonsense it is offensive to the sensitivities of certain people.  Burning the American flag is just as offensive to the sensitivities of many other people.  No where in the Constitution are you given the right NOT to be offended.

QUESTIONS - WHY IS IT?

I have some questions that beg for an answer.  They are:

  1. Why is it Comey, Clapper, McCabe, Brenner, Rosenstein, Rice, and Strzok are all out walking around and not in jail?
  2. Why is it the good people (80%) put up with the mob (20%)?
  3. Why is it politicians, commentators, military leaders, etc. of national note speak of the Chinese Communist Party instead of the Chinese Government?  Aren’t they one and the same?
  4. Why is it we don’t lay the blame for the COVID-19 virus right at the feet of the Chinese Government and act accordingly?
  5. Why is it COVID-19 decisions made by our political leaders are based on computer models, algorithms, projections, flatten the curve, etc. instead of sound medical science and common sense?
  6. Why is it 6 feet is the safe distance for social (physical) distancing, instead of 7 or 8 or 9 feet?  What’s magic about 6 feet?
  7. Why is it some people think they’ll be safer disbanding the police?
  8. Why is it Christian leaders don’t rise up in mass to protest the willful destruction of Christian symbols and churches?  Rest assured if they were destroying mosques the Muslim leaders would be protesting loud, clear. and often.
  9. Why is it some unemployed people are getting more money as COVID-19 benefit payments than they made when working?  Why would they want to work?
  10. Why is it the sun comes up in the east and sets in the west?

COVID-19 PREDICTION

The national reaction to the COVID-19 (China virus) is borderline mass hysteria perpetrated by politics more than medical science and facts.  Common sense is totally lacking across the board.  The Democrats fuel the hysteria with the expectation it will vastly enhance their opportunity to regain control of the presidency and congress.

My prediction is after the November 3rd elections the COVID-19 will fade into oblivion because win or loose it will no longer be of political value to the Democrats.

THE 1974 NOBEL PRIZE SPEECH BY THE ECONOMIST F.A. HAYEK

This is too good not to share.  Though it was said in 1974 it is very applicable to the China (COVID-19) virus mania swirling all around us today.  In his 1974 Nobel Prize speech, he warned against the temptation to use collective action with incomplete knowledge, saying such action would likely cause more harm than good:

“To act on the belief that we possess the knowledge and the power which enable us to shape the processes of society entirely to our liking, knowledge which in fact we do not possess, is likely to make us do much harm.  The recognition of the insuperable limits to his knowledge ought indeed to teach the student of society a lesson of humility which should guard him against becoming an accomplice in men’s fatal striving to control society – a striving which makes him not only a tyrant over his fellows, but which may well make him the destroyer of a civilization which no brain has designed but which has grown from the free efforts of millions of individuals.”

Hayek saw a world that increasingly seemed to believe central planners could solve any and all social problems. Such a worldview carried the seed of great harm, he believed.  We don’t yet know how this pandemic or economic collapse will end, but some have predicted it's shaping up to be a blunder of historic proportions.

The economic historian Phil Magness recently observed:  “The first half of 2020 will go down in history as the largest nationwide public policy failure since the Great Depression.  A part of that failure derives from the largest wide-scale suppression of economic and social liberties in most of our lifetimes, all executed to negligible effect at solving the problem it intended to target.”

If Magness is correct, the crisis, though tragic, may also offer a healthy dose of an elixir Hayek would say humans desperately need:  HUMILITY.  Hayek concluded his address:  “The recognition of the insuperable limits to his knowledge ought indeed to teach the student of society a lesson of humility which should guard him against becoming an accomplice in men’s fatal striving to control society.”

The lockdowns and the nursing home tragedies show just how destructive and fatal such striving to control society can be.  The Democrats in their obsession to control society are intent on bringing society to its knees so like the phoenix they can arise from the ashes with them in everlasting power.

TRUST-FUND KIDS

Most of the Black Lives Matter protestors out raising hell are young white kids, especially a large number are girls.  I see very few blacks in  the many TV news videos I’ve seen.  It gives cause to pause and reflect on just who are they?   They are young white “trust-fund" kids that never worked a day in their lives,  never wanted for anything, never knew the word "no", never got their little butts spanked, and in college majored in stuff like Study of Sexuality in African Women.  They are now trying to find, in their distorted way, some meaning to their miserable lives which makes them likely pawns of any smooth talking Marxist that strokes their egos and pliable plastic brains. What will it take to save us from these little monsters?

TRUMP IS TRUMP

Trump is not a Republican.  He is not a Democrat.  He is not an Independent.  He is not a Socialist.  He is not a far left zealot.  He is not a far right zealot.  TRUMP is TRUMP.  Period.  He is a party of one called TRUMP.  He simply does not think in terms of politics much to the disdain of those that “play” in the political arena.  He sees everything as a problem to be solved.  Don’t bother him with what Nancy or Schummer think.  Don’t bother him with what Al Sharpton thinks.  Trump is a committee of one.  I learned years ago when I first entered the lower ranks of management in a major oil company that committees were designed to delay and spread the responsibility around.  I learned that the most efficient and effective committee is a committee of one if you want things done expeditiously.  Trump is a committee of one.  However, with the advent of the China virus he was faced with a problem unlike anything he'd ever seen before.  I’ve seen that more and more he is influenced by political types which is somewhat bothersome, but may be necessary in today's highly volatile political climate.  Fight fire with fire.
