Sound Familiar?

He was a weak-willed, vacillating, milquetoast figure who stood for nothing but his own self-interest. His positions changed depending on who stood before him. And usually the one who stood before him was his wife who manipulated him and the government.

She was a highly motivated, politically directed feminist who knew how to use her position for personal gain. There was no doubt about it. She was the brains of the duo and as hard as nails. Her ambition was never satisfied.

Their greed was finally exposed to the nation through a mismanaged, fraudulent, real estate deal. Her fingerprints were on the incriminating government documents. At least one man died because he knew too much. But even then, she was so feared that no one dared ask too many questions

Sound familiar? Their names were Ahab and Jezebel. They ruled as King and Queen of Israel 2,300 years ago. (1st Kings 16:31) They wove such a web of witchcraft that the entire nation became corrupt. Government officials lied about one another, people were falsely charged and sentenced. Justice was perverted. Many were executed.

Jezebel was the daughter of Ethbaal, King of Sidonians, and the wife of King Ahab of Israel. King Ahab was the 7th King of Israel. He reigned 22 years (871-852 BC). He was the son of Omri.

Wake Up! The Jihadists are Coming!

Folks, we better wake up. Else there will be nothing to wake up to.

The Democrats dance with glee as they espouse their opposition to the radical Islamic terrorist threat and proclaim the minimum wage and lower interest rates for student loans are what is important. The Republicans are wimps. They run for cover and hide under their desks. President Bush is a lovable lap dog that dawdles with the war on terrorism in Iraq. The American public is clueless as they are consumed by a movie star's underwear, or lack thereof.

In the meantime Iran is busily intervening in Iraq and developing nukes and we want to talk while they laugh at our ineptness. Talk is meaningless to them except as a delaying technique. China shoots satellites out of space and we yawn. North Korea plots to steal money from the UN to build its military and we shrug. Hezbollah is active right on our very shores plotting our demise and we turn our backs. The ACLU fights to undermine the foundations on which our nation is built and political correctness rules the day.

Folks, its 1938 all over again. Wake up. We don't need Democrats or Republicans. We need unity of purpose with statesmanship that knows how to effectively use military force to protect America from outside evil forces. We don't need diversity. We need unity!

President Ford

I watched a lot of the funeral for former President Ford. All the politicians, Democrat and Republican, and power brokers in Washington praised Ford for being a fine and decent man who led the country through a national crisis bringing us from the brink of disaster to save the nation and that he was the man for the time to bring calm to a troubled people.

What folderol. What hypocrites. I distinctly remember that they all unmercifully vilified Ford portraying him as an inept and stumbling moron.

I'm not saying Ford was not a good and decent man. I'm sure he was. I'm saying the Washington insiders are a den of knaves with few principles and less respect for anything other than their personal agendas and self grandeur.

I would really like to see some major fundamental changes (term limits, etc.) made in Washington starting with the Supreme Court, the Presidency, Congress and ending with that gaggle of lobbyists and influence peddlers that endlessly circle like swarming hungry buzzards.
