Just Cause to Remove a President?

Let's see.  Richard Nixon, a Republican, was hounded out of office by the Democrats and the complicit news media because he lied to cover up of a third rate burglary of a Democrat office in the Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Barack Obama has lied to cover up the Fast and Furious gun running by the government, and the lack of security for an ambassador at Benghazi resulting in his and three other Americans' murder.  Obama has also publicly lied to everyone when he said, "If you like your health insurance you can keep it.  Period."  He also lied when he said, "If you like your doctor you can keep him.  Period."  These are the most gross lies.  There are numerous other instances where he has lied.

Comparatively speaking, the Nixon lie was a Sunday school picnic compared to the Obama lies.  I think Obama is a pathological liar.  It matters not what he says because if he says it, then it is true.

If telling a lie is just cause to remove a president, then the nagging question is, "Why is Obama still in office?"

Arab Mascot - California School

I'm really tired of people that come to this country and then set about complaining about us and our culture.  The latest is the Muslims in this country complaining about the mascot of a small school in a remote desert  area of Southern California.  The mascot is a mean looking scowling Arab.  They'v had the same mascot since 1926.  The various Muslim organizations with their vociferous complaining has the school thinking about changing the mascot to an Arabian horse.

I say keep the Arab, and tell the Muslims to kiss off.  If they can't come here and adapt to our culture and our ways, then get the hell out and go back where you came from.  Go where you can live in with your fellow Muslims and leave us alone.  Period.

Teddy Roosevelt Quote

I watched Cavuto on FoxNews interview Doris Kearns Goodwin, presidential historian.  She quoted Teddy Roosevelt which I think all politicians should heed, especially the one now sitting in the White House and at the head of Obamacare.

Roosevelt said, "We need politicians that don't make promises they can't keep."

How appropriate to our situation today with a president that promises everything with not possible way his promises can become true.

3rd Party Wreckers

The Virginia governor race results today are classical of how 3rd party candidates wreck Republican attempts at wining elections  The elections returns were:

McAuliffe (D) . . . . 47.4%
Cuccinelli (R) . . . . 46.0%
Sarvis (L) . . . . . . .  6.6%

If only half the 6.6% that voted for Sarvis would have voted for Cuccinelli he would have won over McAuliffe.  Democrats hold together regardless of their differences.  Some Republican voters always tend to vote to make a statement and always end up loosing.  They just can't seem to find unity in purpose to defeat the Democrats.

In 1992 during the Bush/Clinton run for president Ross Perot entered the race as a 3rd party candidate.  My wife and I did not favor Bush or Clinton.  We told our son, who is fairly astute in politics, we intended to vote for Perot.  He told us we would only elect Clinton.  We voted for Perot as a protest vote and Clinton won.  Had only a few of the Perot voters voted for Bush he would have won instead of Clinton.  So, we were stuck with eight years of Clinton.  We learned a hard lesson.  A lesson Republicans never seem to learn.

Computer Code Changes to Obamacare

I worked most of my career with a major oil company.  I managed a group of computer analysts and programmers.  We developed and implemented user friendly computer systems for the petroleum engineers, geologists, and seismologists.  One of our systems was for the seismic mapping of the substructure formations of the Williston Basin in the Dakotas and part of Montana.  These programs enabled the users to interactively look at the various formations and the various characteristics of these formations with the ability to rotate substructure images and selectively color saturate various characteristics of the different formations.

This system was a series of complex programs.  I would have had heart failure if one of my analysts suggested we implement the system without end-to-end testing.  It was incredible to think we would even consider implementing the system and change code on the fly.  That would be like trying to change the tire on a car speeding 70 mph.  Even small changes made in the code of one module almost always impacts several other modules.

Yet, this is exactly what our government is doing with Obamacare.  They did not do complete end-to-end testing, and they are making daily changes to the code to the system.  That is why the system is down so much.  They stop the "car" to change the "tire", and then speed down the highway 70 mph until they hit another "speed bump".  No way to develop and implement a computer system, even a small one.  It's obvious the people in control of Obamacare have only a vague idea of what they are doing.

Health Insurance and Obamacare

Medicaid was instituted in 1965. The Health Insurance Association of America describes Medicaid as a "government insurance program for persons of all ages whose income and resources are insufficient to pay for health care."  It has worked reasonably well for a government program all these years though there has been some abuse and fraud.  There has been a 48-year insurance program (Medicaid) for persons of all ages with insufficient income and resources for health care, a health insurance program (Medicare) for the elderly, and people of sufficient means either have health insurance through their employers, are self insured, or elect not to have health insurance.

So, the nagging question to be answered is:  Why in the hell do we need Obamacare?
