Knee Replacement Surgery

Brought my wife home this afternoon after knee replacement surgery for her right knee. Everything went fairly well except when there was a little "touch 'n go" with excessive bleeding during the surgery. They managed to control it without too much loss of blood. She successfully achieved all the rehab goals set for her by the physical therapists at the hospital. She is happy to be home and sleeping in her own bed without all the interruptions poking her with needles, taking her blood pressure and temperature, etc., etc. She goes in the morning to the local rehab center for evaluation. Monday she starts her rehab program at the center. She has a fairly intensive program of rehab exercises ahead for the next three weeks. Hopefully, after that she will be good as new and able to walk without pain. Our orthopedic surgeon is a great guy. He did my left hip and right knee several years ago, and now did my wife's knee. He also has done the knees of two very good friends, all very successful. Its remarkable what medical science can do these days.
