BITCOIN

I just finished reading a lengthy and detailed article explaining Bitcoin published by How-to-Geek on their website.  I'm not sure (no, I know) I didn't 't understand every thing I read.  However, I understood enough to form the opinion it is a gigantic Ponzi scheme.  The growth chart is flat to about sudden growth of 5% to 10% off straight up vertical.  Dah!  That's a red flag for anything. The early investors (?) will make $millions while the latecomers will take full brunt (total loss) when it all comes crashing down.  If nothing else government will intercede at some point and that will be bad news.

 UNITED FLIGHT 328

    Watched an interview on FNC of a passenger on Flight 328 out of Denver to Hawaii where the right engine exploded on fire shortly after take off and made a safe landing back to Denver.  I had a similar experience about 40 years ago on a DC-10 American flight out of Love Field in Dallas to Los Angles with Ralph Echols, fellow worker.  On take off over downtown Dallas the right engine exploded. Thought we had bought the farm. DC-10 is a 3 engine plane.  It immediately began to sink as it lost power.  I thought we’d crash in the Trinity River bottoms, but then I felt a gentle surge of power.  The pilot had idled the left engine and power upped the tail engine.  Made a wide smooth turn to the right to a short base and short approach to land.  Flashing red lights everywhere near the runway.  We deplaned on the runway.  About 30 minutes later they brought up another DC-10 to continue the flight.  I looked at Ralph. He looked at me. “No way!”  We rescheduled a later DC-9 flight and retired to the bar to wait.

 TEXAS DEEP FREEZE

    Frigid in Texas.  Week long subfreezing weather as low as 9°F here in South Central Texas with ground covered ice and snow. Much colder in the far reaches of North Texas.  Millions of Texans without electrical power.  Millions with frozen utilities.  Water lines froze solid.  Our water well system frozen.  Water pipes in the attic are frozen.  Thankfully, we’ve had electrical power throughout, and adequate food supplies.  Water became crucial. Two kind thoughtful neighbors came to the rescue.  Their wells did not freeze.  Very few people in this area were prepared for such a severe weather event.  Typically winter temperatures here seldom drop below freezing.  Usually only 3 or 4 degrees for one or two nights.  Summer high temperatures are the usual concern.  Stay warm.  Hope you are back to normal with no or few minor consequences.

 THE STAR-SPANGLED BANNER & PATRIOTISM  

A friend recently sent me a video of a long ago national sporting event where they said a prayer and sang the The Star Spangle Banner at the beginning of the event.  Everyone stood with bowed heads and held their right hands over their heart or saluted.  In conclusion a flight of jet airplanes roared overhead as everyone cheered. She said it brought tears to her eyes.  This is my reply:

Yes, it brought tears to my weary old eyes. I long for those days gone by.  It’s sad we have become what we are today right before our very eyes.  The leftist weasels have infested every element of our society like weevils with their anti-American hate and dominance with the full support of China.  We no longer have a democratic republic.  We have an oligarchy, a small  powerful group of people in government and business with the willing help of the lap-dog news media cooperating with China in the interest of their own power and wealth. What these useful idiots don’t understand is when China becomes the dominate world power they will be the first to go.  Their usefulness will have been served.  China does not tolerate turncoats.

Reagan said something to the effect our democracy is only one generation from extinction.  We have been tolerant of those that want to change us. They have been relentlessly intolerant.  I’ve long said that when tolerance meets intolerance that intolerance wins every time.  Intolerance can only  be defeated by intolerance. Case in point.  The United States was founded when the British Colonists ceased to be tolerant and became  intolerant of the British crown.  Obama and Biden espoused “change" as the keynote of their campaigns. If we are to survive we have to become intolerant and “fight like hell” to defeat the leftists.

 TRUMP ACQUITTED.  DEMOCRATS WON

        Trump was acquitted of the impeachment charge of inciting an insurrection by a vote of 43 to 57.  It required at least 66 votes to find him guilty.  The Constitution requires a 2/3 majority vote in the Senate for guilt.  Typically, the Democrats and their lap dog news media were gleeful because the Democrats in their warped minds won.  They succeeded to tarnish Trump. They succeeded to keep national attention focused on Trump and not on Biden and his crazy Executive Orders. It covered-up the trepidations of Hunter Biden with China and Swalwell’s dalliances  with Fang Fang (bang, bang) a Chinese spy.  It focused attention away from how Biden has mucked up the COVID vaccine distributions.

Trump is stuck in the Democrats’ craw. They can’t rid themselves of the fear he may once again arise with a large following that threatens their grasp on political power. They’ve indefinitely shrouded the national capitol with 12 foot high security fences topped with spirals of razor wire and guarded by army troops to perpetrate the image they are in eminent danger  from the hateful illegal uprising of Trump and his supporters.

It’s all about fascist tactics to maintain absolute control.

 SECURITY - CONGRESS/SOUTHERN BORDER Several thousand army troops stand guard at our nation’s capitol Halls of Congress surrounded by security fences and razor wire to protect our Democrat legislators from a few hundred demonstrators. Why is it army troops can’t stand guard at our Southern Border to protect us from thousands of illegal immigrants? The demonstrators have gone away. The thousands of illegal immigrant keep coming. Just what is it the Democrats fear? Or, do they have some nefarious purpose? Something to ponder and think about.

 REPUBLICAN DONATIONS 

I get at least a dozen email requests a day from various Republican entities asking me to donate.  My standard reply is:

“You want me to give money to wimpy Republicans that have no inclination or guts to stand up and fight the Democrats. They kick your butts all over the political landscape. You bow and scrape.  You cow tow. Democrats fight like junkyard pit bull dogs. Republicans yap like nervous scared chihuahuas.  Trump is the only president in over 100 years (I know, I’m 93 years old) to stand up and fight Democrats and RINO’s embedded in the swamp full of alligators. Trump isn’t a Republican.  He isn’t a Democrat.  Trump is Trump, an American for America. He IS NOT in  the back pocket for China, Iran, Big Tech, etc. Many of you are. Too many of you are only interested in lining your own pockets with wealth based on your political clout, much like Hunter Biden and his daddy.   Trump fought the alligators, but the swamp rats finally got him.  I hope Trump comes back and not only drains the swap, but also “kills” all the rats.  You show me you’ll get off your high-horse of "me first" and  join with Trump’s, MAGA America first policy with Democrats be damned and 75,000,000 people like me will support you. Without us you are nothing.”

They obviously never read my replies because requests keep coming.  They probably have some automated device that checks for a donation.  If none is found the reply is automatically trashed and never read.  It might be helpful if our representatives bothered to read their constituents’ mail.
