Update

Well, here it is October 27th and I haven't made a post since last June. My Okie cousin, Norma, sent me an email today reminding me I have been remiss to my blog. It seems I was awfully busy all summer and here it is fall and I can't see much accomplishment.

We made three trips to Oklahoma. One was to attend my 60th school reunion at Moore with the class I would have graduated from had we stayed at Moore. Some of those classmates have been life long friends. A second trip was to attend my brother's funeral at Antioch. He was a WW II veteran. A third trip was to attend the 50th birthday celebration of my nephew's wife. What a blast. Of course, we made several trips to Round Rock, Texas, to visit our granddaughter. She just had her 6th birthday this month.

The past several days I've been re-building fence. One of my AXIOMs of LIFE is: "If a tree is near a fence and falls, it will ALWAYS fall on the fence." True to form a large tree fell on the fence. I've had to totally re-build a double H dogleg corner. Also, replace several line posts. I still have a couple of days work to complete the job. In the meantime the cows are isolated in the east pasture. I've got to get this finished so I can turn them into the west pasture and graze the grass down before over growth causes a fire hazard.

Also, I've finished writing my book on the family history and genealogy (over 500 pages) and my sister, a retired legal secretary, has finished proofing it. Now I'm investigating the various options to get about 50 copies printed which I will give to some relatives and genealogical libraries, including the LDS library in Salt Lake City.

My apology for neglecting my duties to the blog. I'll try to do better in the future.
