Eagle Eggs

Think about this. Destroy an eagle egg and if found out you will be prosecuted. If found guilty you can be fined up to $20,000 and/or sentenced to 1 to 5 years in prison. All because the eagle is an endangered species. Yet, it is perfectly acceptable to destroy a human fetus with no consequences. Apparently humans are not an endangered species. For some odd reason I think this is a disparity.

60th Anniversary Celebration

Saturday, October 9th, 2010, my wife and I celebrated our 60th Wedding Anniversary with numerous friends and family members at Melody Hall in Moore, Oklahoma. Some friends we had not see in years and we were much surprised and happy to see them. Also, some of our relatives we had not seen for a number of years. Some were friends from my childhood days in Moore. Some were friends from our days with AMOCO and ARCO.
Actually we were married June 1st 1950 at Ardmore, Oklahoma, but so many of the people had so many family activities ongoing during the summer months that October 9th was the most convenient date. Moore was the selected location because it was the most central location for so many of our relatives and friends that live from Tulsa to Ardmore and from Turpin (Oklahoma Panhandle) and Crescent (Northern Oklahoma) to Marietta in Southern Oklahoma and all points in between, including Norman, Moore and Oklahoma City and surrounding area. Also, some came from as far away as Flatonia, Rockdale, and Blue, Texas, and Liberal, Kansas.
Our son and daughter-in-law did a great job organizing and arranging everything for the festive occasion. My wife and I greatly appreciate all the effort and time they took to make it a memorable event.
Also, our thanks to all that attended.
