Health Insurance and Obamacare

Medicaid was instituted in 1965. The Health Insurance Association of America describes Medicaid as a "government insurance program for persons of all ages whose income and resources are insufficient to pay for health care."  It has worked reasonably well for a government program all these years though there has been some abuse and fraud.  There has been a 48-year insurance program (Medicaid) for persons of all ages with insufficient income and resources for health care, a health insurance program (Medicare) for the elderly, and people of sufficient means either have health insurance through their employers, are self insured, or elect not to have health insurance.

So, the nagging question to be answered is:  Why in the hell do we need Obamacare?

So far Obamacare has managed to get 7.3 million peoples health care canceled.

I can't help but wonder what it's going to take to get the people of this nation to take notice and do something about the quagmire in Washington D.C.?
