FREE SPEECH

The 1st amendment of the Constitution guarantees freedom of speech.  However, the Supreme Court has ruled that to shout “FIRE!” in a crowded theater when they is no fire is not acceptable free speech.  The Supreme Court has also ruled that burning the American flag in public as a protest against the government is acceptable free speech. The national news media wholeheartedly endorses this ruling.  The question that haunts me is why is it not an acceptable protest against the government to publicly display the Confederate battle flag?  And, don't give me this nonsense it is offensive to the sensitivities of certain people.  Burning the American flag is just as offensive to the sensitivities of many other people.  No where in the Constitution are you given the right NOT to be offended.
