PRESIDETIAL DEBATE -TRUMP-vs-BIDEN

I just finished watching the “debate” between the two candidates.  First, debate is a misnomer.  It was anything but a debate.  Second, it was a total waste of time.  Nothing will change.  Third, Chris Wallace, the moderator, parried words with the candidates to the extent they were “debating” with him, not the other candidate.  Midway I briefly switched for a couple of minutes to the Weather Channel.  It was more interesting. 

Biden asked emphatically several times for people to vote for him.  Trump didn’t.  Or, if he did it was so tacit I did not notice.  I’m reminded of an old, old political story.  A young articulate politician spoke eloquently and often.  He lost.  Afterwards he talked with an elderly lady friend that told him she did not vote for him.  He asked,  “Why?”  She replied, “Because you didn’t ask me to”. 

 AMY CONEY BARRETT

Poor Amy.  I really feel for her.  The Democrats have every intention to eviscerate the poor woman. They will not yield on any count.  They’ve already started attacking her religion.  They are accusing her of some kind of white supremacy for the ”white colonization” of her two adopted children from Haiti.  I would not be surprised for Feinstein or Booker or Harris to accuse her as a cougar preying on underage teen boys.  Sexual proclivity seems to pretty much be their modus operandi.  

The Republicans are wimpy. Senator Lindsay, the committee chairman, announces he will hold respectable and fair hearings for both sides.  Horse pucky.  We all know what will come down.  We all know the end result with Senate approval.  So, why dither two weeks to get hearings started?  Get on with it and quit the verbal fairy dancing.  Or better, approve her nomination tomorrow and let the Democrats squeal like a pig with its head stuck in a gate.  

 FRACKING 

Fracking as become a major issue front and center in today’s political scramble.    Supporters on both sides of the issue are adamant as though it is a new technology.  Fracking has been  around a long time just in different form as the technology advanced.

My father when a young man worked in the Oklahoma oil fields in the early 1920’s.  He worked on what was known as cable tools to drill the well.  They essentially pounded a hole in the ground and used a baler from time to time to bale the cuttings (mud) out of the hole.  They smelled and sometimes tasted the cuttings to determine when they had encountered an oil producing formation.  They put two or three sticks of dynamite in a can, lite the fuse, and dropped it down the hole,  The explosion fractured the oil producing formation.  Sometime nothing.  Other times a flow of  gas and crude oil to the surface.  If it came out a gusher they, to quote my father,  “ran for the weeds.”

When I worked in the oil fields of Oklahoma and Texas in the 1950’s the technology had advanced.  We had large derricks with rotary drill bits to bore through the earth.  We had to drill vertical.  If we got off vertical as much as 2% we were in serious trouble and had to take corrective measures.  We had scientific instruments to indicate we had encountered an oil producing formation.  We periodically set steel casing (pipe) down hole through the formation and cemented it in place.  We ran a special tool down the hole into the formation. It essentially fired a series of bullets out into the formation.  We then hooked up huge high pressure pumps and pumped a combination of water, acid and quartz crystals (type of sand) down the hole until it fractured the formation thus releasing the gas and oil.  This was a critical moment but we didn’t have to “run for the weeds.”  We had huge blowout preventers installed at the top of the hole.

Today the technology has advanced to horizontal drilling a mile or more through an oil producing formation.  I retired years ago and am not knowledgeable of  today’s fracturing technology. I do know it is high technology and allows oil production from formations we knew about for years but never dreamed we would some day be able to produce such large volumes that we have become the world leader of oil production.

So, don’t get exercised about fracking.  It’s been here a long time.  It will continue to be here a long time as the technology continues to grow. 

 CHINA - GERM WARFARE

As you who follow my blog know I do not trust China.  They have world expansion and domination as an objective to be the world’s premiere power.  We, the United States of America, stand in their way.  They have no compunction for doing whatever it takes to achieve their self-imposed destiny.  I’m of the opinion this round of the COVID-19 virus from China is a trial run.  Our lack of unity with all the mayhem afflicting our capabilities encourages China to act.  When they think the time is ripe they will simultaneously unleash a rash of several different viruses with the expectation it will create total chaos thus bring us to our knees.  We have little time.  We better get busy and prepare to blunt this germ warfare attack with the will to take counter measures to totally wreck China.  We must advise them in the strongest terms that we will act and it will be devastating to China.  Strength and the will to use it is our greatest ally. 

 CHINA

I’ve had my blog since 2006.  I comment on all manner of things.  I’ve long commented on our national situation with China, especially most recently concerning China and the COVID-19 virus. A lady, Li-Meng Yan, appeared September 15th on Tucker Carlson’s program on the Fox News Channel.  She made some powerful accusations about China, the COVID-19 virus, its source, and the intent of the China government to purposeful unleash the COVID-19 virus on the world, and the United States in particular.

After  Tucker’s program I fired off an email to our 10th District Congressional representative, Michael McCaul.   A May 7, 2020 press release states that Congressman Michael McCaul (R-TX), Republican Leader on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, was selected by Leader McCarthy to lead the China Task Force as Chairman. As Chairman, McCaul will lead 14 of his Republican colleagues in developing legislative solutions to address the Chinese Communist Party’s maligned global agenda. The stated directive objective is:

“Under the totalitarian leadership of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), China has become the United States’ strategic adversary and most consequential foreign policy challenge of this generation. Their coronavirus coverup is yet another wake up call to the evolving threat they pose to the world. Not only do we have to hold the CCP accountable for their role in the spread of coronavirus, the United States must take bold action to address the CCP’s malign agenda and better compete with China on the world stage. I want to thank Leader McCarthy for the honor of chairing this task force, and have already begun reaching out to my distinguished colleagues for their vital input on how to best move forward together.

“We will provide frequent updates on our efforts and later this year we will unveil our comprehensive report with legislative recommendations.  This is the number one issue not only today but for the future. Our task force will hit the ground running to develop new and enduring policy solutions that, among others, enhance our economic strength and create jobs, protect our national security, rethink our supply chains and grow our competitive edge in technology.” 

Following are some illustrative excerpts from some of my most recent blog posts about China.  What’s ironic, and somewhat disturbing, is that I, a simple man, seemingly have a more timely and greater insight into the China situation than most of our national leaders.  This is cause for great concern.

April 4th - Government Economic Meddling 

The actions of our government to deal with this Chinese (MOVID-19) virus smacks of socialism.  President Trump has succumbed to the perverse thinking of egg-head crystal ball gazers to make far reaching economic decisions based on computer modeling results derived from speculative data.  Garbage in, garbage out.  

April 17th - China  Friend or Foe

China is not our friend.  They have the long-term goal to replace us as the world's number one premier nation.  Far too long (ever since Nixon) subsequent administrations have conceded many powers (WTO, WHO, etc.)  to China in the expectation democracy would flourish and China would become one of the friendly adversaries on the world's political and economic scene.  Wrong. If nothing else, Trump has caused China to expose what they actually are, a powerful communist dictator nation.  True to form they let little stand in their way.  They lie, cheat and steal.

May 13th - Message to Anthony Fauci

Sit down and shut up.  You’ve had more than your moment of national attention and fame.  You’ve done more than Attila the Hun ever did to put fear in the hearts of mankind. Your computer model projections and predictions about the number of deaths from this COVID virus have missed the mark by a country mile.  You say you don’t make economic predictions, yet  based on your predictions millions of people are now unemployed and dependent on the largess of government for subsistence.  You are an egg-head crystal-ball gazer that with the assistance of the Democrats and national news media hoodwinked Trump and the nation with a shroud of fear to unnecessarily take drastic measures with real economic consequences. Your computer models are garbage in and garbage out. 

May 20th - My Take on China

China now has so many hot irons so deep into all aspects of our economy, government and academia that it will be extremely difficult, if at all possible, to extract them.  We’ve squandered three years of Trump’s efforts to deal with China. Our national attention has been collusion, collusion, Russia,  Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, impeachment, impeachment, and now COVID-19.  If China is ever brought into the circle of friendly nations (like Germany, Japan, and Italy at the end of WW II) it will be by Divine Intervention. 

July 28th - China - The Enemy

China is not our friend. China is not our friendly adversary. China is not our hostile adversary. China is our enemy.  China purposefully unleashed this COVID-19 virus to create bedlam and weaken us. China has purposefully infiltrated our universities and colleges with covert agents spying and stealing intellectual properties for use to undermine us. They infiltrate our high tech industries to steal technology for use to undermine us. Their publicly avowed intent is to bring us down economically and morally so they can supersede us as the premier world power.  All the while they are aided and abetted by the likes of George Soros, Democrats, Antifa, BLM,  and other leftwing useful idiot groups that serve as pawns for China to bring us to our knees so they can institute a revolutionary socialistic country. 

Today China is the Japan of yesteryear (1930's). They are aggressively expanding into  the South China Sea and Southeast Asia.  We are attempting to bring about a balance in the area through negotiations.  China is in no mood for serious negotiation.  They are feeling their oats.  Our industrial complex has become so embedded in the China economy they see it as a choke hold. Thus, they act accordingly. 

 VOTE AT THE POLLS

Each week nearly 265 million customers visit Walmart nationwide.  That’s 37 million  a day.  Yeah! I believe it’s safe to vote at the polls.

Each day checkout lines at my local supermarket (HEB) are 10 abreast and 6  to 10 customers in each line.  Yeah! I believe it’s safe to vote at the polls.

So, what’s the problem?  No problem,  just the Democrats creating confusion to make the voting process complex and nebulous to enhance the delay and questionability of the vote tallies so they can be “jacked around” to disrupt the end results.  Got that.  Go to the polls to vote.

 CHINA CONFIGURING MILITARY TO KILL AMERICANS

The United States shouldn’t be enriching “a hostile regime” that is “configuring its military to kill Americans,” China analyst Gordon Yang said. (Source: Washington Guardian by:  Yael Halon).

Configuring their military not only means guns, battleships, and ICBM missiles, but also includes germ warfare.  They have already unleashed a virus to kill Americans and spread fear.  Whether accidental or inadvertent doesn’t matter.  What matters is they intentionally and purposefully undertook actions, not to curb and contain, but to scatter it as far and wide as possible to the outside world to perpetuate as much havoc, economic damage and fear as possible, especially on the United States.

The Democrats and certain “progressive” elements in the United States have been complicit. The Democrats have sized on this as an opportunity to unseat Trump.  Nothing else matters.  The opposition holds forth Taiwan as the prime example of the effort to contain the virus not understanding nor caring to understand that Taiwan had total political unity to address and minimize the problem, whereas we, the United States, are fractured by political ideologies.  It matters not what Trump does, the Democrats oppose him at every turn of the hat.  The lack of a unified approach has reduced us to toilet paper hoarders and timid rabbits hiding behind masks thinking that’ll  keep us safe.

One thing for certain, we as a nation better quit being diverted by all this nasty “progressive” mob mentality stuff and transgender men’s menstrual cycles and get back post-haste to saving our country.  Else we’ll soon all be having to learn to speak Chinese.  

 SOCIAL CIVILITY

This happened years ago, but is illustrative of today’s situation. Two of my childhood friends became police officers. I stayed in touch with them from time to time over the years. They told me this years ago.

Some local “do-gooders” convinced the captain he should instigate a program of social and civility awareness for the police department. The captain finally relented (mostly to get “them” to shut up) and assigned a lieutenant to one of their college courses in criminology taught by a professor of socialism.  The lieutenant dutifully attended all the classes and often engaged the professor in some contentious conversation about reality.  The lieutenant suggested the professor take a sabbatical leave and attend the police academy to temporality become a fully qualified  police officer. The professor accepted the invitation and the captain approved.  He (the professor) became a fully qualified police officer.

The police department policy was to assign rookie officers with experienced officers for their first several assignments.  His first assignment was to ride with one of my friends on night duty.  Everything was more or less a fairly quiet evening. The professor took copious notes on every incident.  He was making preparations for a thesis for a doctorate.  About midnight they got a domestic disturbance call.  On the way not the scene my friend explained he had made this call numerous times. He told the professor to stand by next the cruiser.  He (my friend) said he would walk onto the porch, beat on the door, shout “Police” then step aside.  The guy in a drunken stupor would rush out the door like a mad bull.  He would stick his foot out to trip him.  He then would jump on his back, handcuff him, drag him to the cruiser and throw him in the back seat.   Everything went down exactly as my friend said.  The professor rookie saw this as an excellent opportunity to question the guy to get his opinions about how he was treated and what he thought about the experience. He got his little pad and pen out, opened the back door, leaned in to ask a question. The guy violently  kicked him in the  groin where it hurts most.  The professor’s attitude about social civility changed in a second.
