Football

I watched the 2H of the Tennessee/Florida football game.  Interesting game, but now I know why I’ve lost interest in football.  I timed the entire 4Q.  Total elapsed time was 53 minutes.  I timed each play from snap of the ball to the referee’s whistle. I also included most replays.  Total action time was 8:34 minutes including most replays.  I did not include action play replays overlaid by advertising graphics.  I have no time data to prove this, but I think the actual action play time was no more than 4 minutes. The replays were sometimes the same play from different angles. Tennessee won 38-33. Florida almost pulled it off with an onside kickoff in the last minute. The off-field hoopla is about as entertaining as the game. 

 Air Force Academy Woke

I just read the Air Force Academy diversity training tells cadets to use words that 'include all genders,' drop 'mom and dad.’  By that standard the woke diversity training must also eliminate all reference to rank and simply say ‘airperson’ for all.  Reference to rank may offend some, so there must be no rank designations from private to general. 

We’re on the brink of WW III with the high probability of nuclear missiles flying in all directions.  Yet, our military is obsessed with woke social equity.  Our military has only one purpose . . . to fight and win war.  This woke mentality renders our military impotent.  We are unable to wage a war on the scale of WW II.  God help us. 

 Illegal Single Adult Males

U.S. Customs and Border Protection statistics from October 2021 to July 2022 reports a total of 1,816,353 illegal immigrants crossed the Southern Border apprehended and processed by the Border Patrol.  It also reports that 1,290,716 (71%) of those apprehended and processed were single adult males.  There is no breakdown on the number of single adult males from age 18 to 32 of military age.  I propose that those single adults of military age be given the opportunity to voluntarily serve 3 years in an elite military attack force with the sole purpose to attack and destroy the cartels, and with the privilege to be put on a fast track to full citizenship providing they honorably serve the entire 3 years.

 Electricity - Unintended Consequences

Renewable electrical generation (windmills and solar panels) is not sufficient nor reliable enough to support the demand for electricity. The wind does not always blow.  The sun does not always shine.  Typical  of California the demand is greater than the supply.  This results in rolling brown-outs and black-outs amid pleas from the ruling elitists for everyone (but them) to reduce usage by dimming lights and turning up the air conditioners.  So, what is the unintended consequences?  As the California model becomes deeper and more widespread people will begin to buy and install home generators to take-up the slack.  So, what’s wrong with that?  Those little home generators require diesel (fossil fuel) to run the motor required to rotate the dynamo that generates the electricity.  So, thousands of these units belching out diesel fumes will negate any climate change advancement for pure clean air.
