Sexuality and Government

This came from a friend voicing his concerns about how government seeks to impose its views of sexuality onto the populace.  Its kind of long, but worth the read, especially if you are concerned about government pushing its way into areas such as sexuality that have no constitutional basis.

The story linked below illustrates why the fight for smaller government is so critical.  The U.S. Department of Education has no foundation in the U.S. Constitution.  It is a federal bureaucracy of executive creation.  Career bureaucrats in the federal government wish to impose the progressive agenda on the entire nation, as revealed with this school district.  This agenda has been slowly forced upon our nation by nameless, faceless liberal bureaucrats.  Society will be sacrificed at the altar of liberalism before they will rest.

 

This story involves a male student who “identifies” as a female, thus making him “transgender.”  Bureaucrats and liberal media insist on calling him "she" and “her” in spite of the fact that he was born male and has male genitalia.  He already has access to the girl’s locker room in a designated area with a privacy curtain.  That is not good enough.  He wants “unrestricted access” to use the girl’s locker room.  To the media and leftists in government and elsewhere he has an absolute right to unfettered access to naked teenage girl’s in their own locker room if he wants.  Progressives seek to use the power of the federal government to force his fiction on everyone else.  Progressives reject the natural and biological reality of his gender - male, in favor of the gender with which he “identifies” – female.  Put directly, they reject fact in favor of fiction.  It is common for liberals to reject truth in favor of their fictional narrative.  It may well be the defining characteristic of modern progressivism.

This story features a sexually and gender confused boy, - and progressives want to force everyone else to join this boy in his fiction.  We are all supposed to pretend that he is a girl.  Not because he is a girl, - but because progressives say we must.  Progressives believe in using the coercion of government to force everyone to “play along” with the fantasy.  Government bureaucrats are ordering a school district to compel the rest of the girls in that school to be naked or near naked in a room with HIM.  Progressives cannot respect the fact that young girls in that locker room will still be exposed to his MALE genitalia.  Any person that is not “okay” with that is labeled some type of “phobe.”  Liberals cannot recognize that allowing any boy to talk his way into the girl’s locker room to be naked among girls, - let alone a sexually confused boy, is not the best idea.  They cannot accept that other girls may not want to be naked or near naked in a room with a boy, whether he wants to be a girl or not.  Liberals will not respect the rights of girls not to be compelled to be naked in the locker room with a sexually and gender confused boy.  I would point out that he already has access to the girl’s locker room with a privacy curtain, so he clearly wants to be able to freely walk through the locker room and observe real girls dressing and undressing.  Society should not be compelled to join him in the lie he chooses to live, and neither should the teenage girls who go to school with him.

 

So what does big-government do about this situation?  Liberal bureaucrats force their own agenda and values on others, and “government” is their tool of choice.  Federal bureaucrats are threatening to take the school district's “funding” away.  The U.S. Department of Education is threatening to withhold "millions of dollars in federal funding" from the school district if they do not "comply with the law."  Notably, it is only the "law" because department of education bureaucrats say so.  An appointed official in charge of a department created by an executive order has decreed their interpretation of the “law” to actually be the law by supreme fiat.  (Picture J.L. Picard saying "Make it so.")  This is the power that the federal government has claimed for itself.  Such is the power that progressives have seized.

 

This is how big government liberalism, - aka socialism / communism, works.  The government confiscates people's money.  The government then doles that money back out in the form of "federal funding."  After confiscating the people’s money, liberal bureaucrats running the government pass out money as they see fit.  Federal “funding” becomes a weapon to be used to reward and / or punish people.  Failure to "comply" results in the federal government refusing to return OUR own money back to US.  That is NOT representative government.  That is not government "of the people, by the people and for the people."  It is quite the opposite.  It is totalitarianism.  It amounts to a nanny state where everyone is living like a 10 year old under the dominion of the ruling class.  If you want to "live under their roof" then you must "do as they say."  In this case the federal government is threatening to harm over twelve thousand students if the district refuses to join in one young boy’s fallacy!  That is the math of liberalism.  Agenda is more important than people.  They will deny over 12,000 children an education in favor of forcing girls to be naked with a boy who claims to “identify” as a girl. 

 

Socialism is more than just a failed economic model.  It is government dictating to every person every aspect of their lives!  It is an unholy and immoral arrangement.  It is universal misery.  It is the absolute opposite of freedom.  It is intolerance and tyranny on a grand scale.  It is government as master, and citizen as slave.  Currently liberal bureaucrat’s leverage to force compliance is the power to withhold money.  In time it's done at the end of a gun.  It always ends in violence and murder, as liberals "cleanse" societies.  When the government creates enough dependent "useful idiots" they are in a position to take everything away from people.  At that point, the government is free to violently get rid of any who resist.  Heed the words of Kipling, "Then the God's of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return."

Compassion is not the Solution

President Obama, Democrats, the national media, and various liberal talking-heads on TV espouse the virtues of compassion as the solution to the so-called Syrian refugee problem.  That it is in our national interest to be compassionate and show Muslims and the rest of the world that we are true to our values of kindness, thoughtfulness and compassion.  That we view compassion as a virtue to be showered on the less fortunate.

I can tell you from personal experience working for an American oil company in the Middle East that a tenet of Islam is to view compassion as a weakness to be exploited, and exploit it they do.  I don't believe for a New York minute that Obama is compassionate for the Muslims he wants to settle in this country.  He and his Democrat colleagues see them as future Democrat votes.  Period.

This infusion of a dominate culture contrary to our way of life must be stopped if we are to survive.  Recent events in France are proof enough that we must tread these waters with great care.

Compassion is not the solution.

Containment is not Victory

Just a day before the Paris ISIS terrorist attack Obama speaking of the ISIS threat said, "Our goal is containment, and we have containment."

I wonder if the freedom loving people of Paris think ISIS terrorism is contained?  How naive of an American president to think containment is a substitute for victory.  Just exactly what does containment mean, anyhow?  Typical Obama.  He speaks in nuances.  I wonder if it has ever occurred to him that maybe the Paris terrorists were sending him a message that they are not contained, that they wanted to make him out to be a liar while bragging to the world that they spit in his face.

Containment is no substitute for victory.  Talk is cheap.  Victory comes at a price.  

Voters Voting for Stuff

I’m concerned that about 40% of the voting citizenry don’t know, don’t want to know, don’t give a “flip”, and will vote for whoever gives them “stuff”.  About another 20% are died-in-the-wool progressive liberals and will vote for the liberal whoever it may be.  That’s 60% of the vote.  Difficult to overcome.  I hope a Republican of any ilk wins, but I won’t be surprised if Hillary does.  Far too many people at every level are too dependent on big government to sustain them in the style to which they’ve become accustomed.
