A Political Irony

In the heat of this political year I've noticed something of a political irony that has been around for a long time.  Some candidates are quick and loud to proclaim they are conservatives.  I see political signs and literature that say the candidate is a conservative and believes in conservative principles.  Yet, I see no political signs where candidates proclaim to be a liberal.  What is it about being a liberal they don't want people to know?  Are they ashamed to be a liberal?  Are they hiding something?  Do they know that if they proclaim to be a liberal they will never win an election?  But, once elected they govern as liberals.  How ironic!

Obama Shoehorns Himself into Biographies of Other Presidents

The following was taken from The Heritage Insider, May 18, 2012. This is incredible.  Its difficult for a person of average normal psychic to understand how narcissistic and arrogant this man is.  The audacity of him to interject himself into the biographies of presidents before he was even born (where ever that was).

WHITE HOUSE SHOEHORNS OBAMA INTO OTHER PRESIDENTS’ ONLINE BIOGRAPHIES: “Obama has added bullet points bragging about his own accomplishments to the biographical sketches of every single U.S. president since Calvin Coolidge (except, for some reason, Gerald Ford). Here are a few examples:
“• On Feb. 22, 1924 Calvin Coolidge became the first president to make a public radio address to the American people. President Coolidge later helped create the Federal Radio Commission, which has now evolved to become the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). President Obama became the first president to hold virtual gatherings and town halls using Twitter,Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc. […]
“• President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare signed (sic) into law in 1965—providing millions of elderly healthcare stability. President Obama’s historic health care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, strengthens Medicare, offers eligible seniors a range of preventive services with no cost-sharing, and provides discounts on drugs when in the coverage gap known as the ‘donut hole.’ […]
“• In a June 28, 1985 speech Reagan called for a fairer tax code, one where a multi-millionaire did not have a lower tax rate than his secretary. Today, President Obama is calling for the same with the Buffett Rule.” [Seth Mandel, Commentary, May 15 ]


And, this man is president of our country?  God help us!

Executive Order issued by Obama

This was taken from "The Patriot", May 13, 2012:

Premier Obama has signed yet another executive order, this one is Identifying and Reducing Regulatory Burdens, that when coupled with his Executive Order Promoting International Regulatory Cooperation and Executive Order Establishing a White House Council on Strong Cities, Strong Communities, opens a direct path to bring United Nations regulations to the grass roots of our body politic.


This latest executive order will allow the soviet socialists in our local communities through their committees to adopt and enact United Nations regulations designed to establish absolute United Nations’ control over our every resource.

The laws of the United States, individual states, counties, cities, and local municipalities, under our Constitution must be legislated. These executive orders bypass the legislative process and essentially nullify our representative form of government under the guise of allowing us to voice our opinion in reference to new regulation rather than enforce our will through elected representation.

Executive Orders are the Executive Branch (President) by-passing the Legislative Branch to enact favorable laws the president in most cases knows would not pass muster with the Congress.  The original intent of Executive Orders was to meet critical situations of national security when Congress was not in session.  (Note:  Years ago before air conditioning in Washington, D.C., Congress convened in January and adjourned usually late March or early April before it got so ungodly hot and uncomfortable in Washington, D.C.  Thus, Congress was not in session most of the year, which is by all counts a good thing.)  However, Obama has used Executive Orders as a tool to enact his agenda and has issued more than all the other residents combined beginning with President George Washington who issued a total of two Executive Orders during his tenure.

The time has arrived for us, the masses, to find a permanent way to reign in the power of the Executive Branch (president) to randomly issue Executive Orders by making them subject to review and approval by the Legislative Branch within a certain time frame after issuance.  The Constitution provides for checks and balances to keep one branch from becoming more powerful than any other branch. These checks and balances must be instituted to keep Executive Orders from becoming dictatorial.

Obama - "fighting on my behalf"

President Barack Obama said on Wednesday that members of the U.S. military are “fighting on my behalf.”  He used the expression while explaining to ABC News that he really does support same-sex marriage.  The following is a comment made on the VISION TO AMERICA blog by "Rchguns."  I think it is very appropriate:

"I have news for you, Mr. Diaper Head.  The military is well aware of what you think of them. Most would sooner trust a Muslim with a gun than you. You hate the military.  You always have and I think that's because they have something you will never have. It's called honor, something that is totally lacking in your makeup.

Any military soldier, sailor, airman, and all others possessing combat will tell you the same thing. They're not fighting for you.  They're fighting for the man next to them. They're fighting for each other.   That's the bottom line.

You, sir, could never make it in the military for many reasons the first of which is you could never pass the background security clearance. Add to that the fact that you're probably mentally deranged and unfit for military duty.

Mr. Dirty Diaper Head Obama, on your best day you might make a pimple on the rear end of the lowest ranking soldier and military. You're a joke.  A worthless piece of excrement. You are not fit to lick the boots of our military men and women."

MY COMMENT:  The arrogance of the man!   Our military people also fight for our nation.  Obama just happens to be at the top of the chain of command.  Hopefully, that situation will be rectified in November.  I wonder if he knows which end of a gun the bullet comes out?

Freedom of the Press?

I find it uncanny the national  news media can find an incident where Romney in his high school days bullied a kid thought to be homosexual by cutting his hair off.  Yet, this same media can't find anything about Obama during his years at Columbia, Harvard, or Occidental Universities.  They can't find anything about where he was actually born.  They can't find anything about his youthful upbringing or transgressions in a predominately Muslim country.  They can't find anything about his travels to foreign nations in his young adult days, and what kind of passport he used.  Uncanny is an under statement.

I wonder if this was the kind of news media our founding fathers had in mind when they declared for freedom of the press?  I think not.
