Coddling Criminals

We coddle criminals. We release them from prison on the slightest of evidence. Then they go out and commit more horrendous crimes like the recent execution-style murder of four police officers in Lakewood, Washington. They are a drag on society in terms of lives taken and the cost to catch, arrest, prosecute, and incarcerate them. Yet, we find it perfectly acceptable to kill innocent unborn babies . There is also much talk about Obamacare and euthanasia of the elderly, i.e. pull the plug on grandma because the elderly are no longer productive members of society. It costs too much to feed, medicate, and care for them.

So, if being a productive member of society is the criteria for life why is it criminals are coddled with more rights than their victims? Criminals as a group are the most costly non-productive members of society. So, why isn't it the other way around? Kill the criminals. Let the babies and us old folks live.

Thanksgiving Day

A Happy Thanksgiving to All and may God bless and keep You.

If any doubt lingers in anyone's mind about our Founding Fathers belief in and devotion to The Almighty God then read the following:

Thanksgiving Proclamation

[New York, 3 October 1789]

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor-- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.By the President of the United States of America, a Proclamation.

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be-- That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks--for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation--for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the course and conclusion of the late war--for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed--for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted--for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which he hath been pleased to confer upon us.

and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions-- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually--to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed--to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn kindness unto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord--To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease of science among them and us--and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best.

Given under my hand at the City of New York the third day of October in the year of our Lord 1789.

Terrorists Trials in New York

If the liberal soothsayers think GITMO has been a viable recruiting tool for the terrorists just wait and see what propaganda they make of the political circus that is the terrorists trial in New York. They will play it like a Stradivarius for all of the world to see. They will use it as a terrorist recruiting tool that will make GITMO look like a Sunday school picnic. Just another of many steps in the further demise of common sense.

I think the purpose is to put America and George Bush on trial before the world to degrade our standing and enhance Obama's stature in the eyes of the rest of the world, the United States of America be damned in the words of his spiritual advisor.

Hate Crime

Lets see. If a white guy kills a white guy he didn't hate him so it is just plain murder. However, if a white guy kills a black guy then it is a "hate crime" which is a higher crime than just plain murder. Now, if a black guy kills a black guy then there is no hate and it is just plain murder. But, if a black guy kills a white guy then there is no hate and it is just plain ordinary murder.

If a heterosexual guy kills a heterosexual guy then he didn't hate him and its just plain murder. But, if the heterosexual guy kills a homosexual guy then he hated him and it is a "hate crime" which is a higher crime than just plain murder. If a homosexual guy kills a homosexual guy then there is no hate and it is just plain murder.

If a Christian guy kills another Christian guy then he didn't hate him so it is just plain murder. But, if the Christian guy kills a Muslim then he hated the Muslim guy and it is a "hate crime" which is a higher crime than just plain murder. If the Muslim guy kills a Christian guy then he did not hate the Christian guy so it is just plain murder.

Does any of that nonsense make sense? What in the Name of God are we as a society thinking? If someone willfully and intentionally kills another human being then it is murder, period. But, we have political correctness running amuck in every facet of society fostering all kinds of stupid and asinine laws that are total nonsense. God help us.

Diversity - Unity

We have heard much ado about how it is diversity that gives us our strength. The Army Chief of Staff at Fort Hood made it a point to say that we must preserve our diversity. The dictionary defines diversity as: 1.a. The fact or quality of being diverse. b. A point or respect in which things differ. 2. Variety or multiformity. Diverse is defined as: 1. Distinct in kind; unlike. 2. Having variety in form; diversified.

I have difficulty understanding how diversity begets strength. It appears to me that a more appropriate and important characterization of us and our strength as a nation is unity which is defined as: 1. The state of being one; singleness. 2. The state, quality, or condition of accord or agreement; concord. 3.a. The combination or arrangement of parts into a whole; unification b. a combination or union thus formed.

What we need is UNITY, not diversity if we ever intend to preserve the concept of: "In order to form a more perfect union. . . ." Diversity does nothing but segregate us into conclaves of unlikeness. Unity brings us joined together as one. Our liberal-minded obsession with diversity and political correctness will be our undoing.

If you come to America come legally, then join us as Americans. Learn English, our language. Learn our mores and values. Learn our history. Assimilate into the great melting pot and become one of us. Else, stay away.

'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag.... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'

Nidal Malik Hasan - Islamic Terrorist

This evening I went to a Washington Post website that displayed the 50-slide presentation, "The Koranic World View As It Relates to Muslims in the U.S. Military", Major Nidal Malik Hasan presented to colleagues at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C. I read all 50 slides. The presentation begins innocuous enough as an investigation into Islam in the U.S. Military, but very quickly transcends into what I would characterize as a serious incursion into religious theology with numerous direct quotes from the Koran. There were two slides that particularly stood out as very revealing as to Hasan's mind-set. They are:

#42: So when the Sacred Months have passed, then fight the Mushrikums [those who associate with other gods] where ever you find them, and capture them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush. But if they repent and perform the Salah [supplication], and give the Zakah [wealth], then leave them their way free. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (9:05)

#49 Conclusions: Fighting to establish an Islamic State to please God, even by force, is condoned by the Islam.

These are only two of the many "red flags" that should have alerted military authorities. The problem is we as a society and nation are so given to "political correctness" that we have become inept to the point of stupidity concerning our very own security. I have written on political correctness and its dangers in previous posts to this blog. If it is so blatantly obvious to a person of my minor standing in society the question that begs for an answer is why in the Name of God can't our political and military leaders see and understand political correctness is literally killing us a few at a time. America! Wake up and smell the daisies!

Tweety Twee, Tweety Twit

I'm in a daze. We have tweeting, twitter, texting, MySpace, FaceBook, cellphones, iphones, ipods, itunes, and God only knows what else. My head whirls and swirls as my Model-T Ford mentality struggles to make sense of it all in this cyberspace age of so many unusual gadgets and gismos. Everybody has the insatiable propensity to communicate with everybody else. It makes no never mind most of it makes little or no sense at all, at least to me.
What seems important is to tweet or twitter just for the sake of tweeting or twittering.
Are we destined to loose the fine art of prose and the written word, the beauty of a well crafted sentence with meaning and emotion that inspires? Are we destined to loose the fine art of articulate speech? Has it already happened so that a smooth talking articulate egotistical and narcissistic man of little experience and void of moral principle was able to talk his way into the highest position in the land?
We need, no we must, learn the fine art of listening so not to be swayed in the future by a glib tongue else we're doomed.
