New York Cops

This is incredible.  The following was taken from a newswire service item:

"All nine people wounded during a dramatic confrontation between police and a gunman outside the Empire State Building were struck by bullets fired by the two officers, police said Saturday, citing ballistics evidence."

One officer fired 7 times.  The other officer fired 9 times.  A total of 16 shots were fired at close range by the police.  They hit the suspect 3 times killing him.  They hit 9 innocent bystanders that just happened to be in the right place at the wrong time.  Fortunately, none were killed.  Where did the other 4 shots go?  Were some bystanders hit more than once?

Contrary to all the movies and TV shows we often see about the elite New York police apparently they are not very well trained in the use of their firearms.  They need to come to Texas and take our Concealed to Carry Course to obtain a license to carry a concealed firearm.  One of the things stressed over and over and over is to be absolutely sure of your target before you pull the trigger.  Obviously, the New York cops had not been properly trained, or they lost their cool in the moment.
