The Purpose of Marriage

The gutless Supreme Court refused to hear the case on same-sex marriage defaulting to the liberal lower court decisions in effect making same-sex marriage the law of the land though a majority of the population opposes same-sex marriage.

Marriage as a union between a man and a woman has been an institution since the beginning of civilization even in the most archaic and primitive societies.

So, just what is the purpose of marriage?  It is the foundation for procreation to perpetrate the society in a civil manner.  It takes a man and a woman to procreate.  Homosexuals don't procreate.

When "love" is the only criteria for marriage as stated by the attorney for same-sex marriage, Ted Olson, on national TV then the question that arises is: "What are the boundaries?"  Can a man love several men?  Can a woman love several women?  Can a man love a number of women?  Can a woman love a number of men?  Can a man love his daughter?  Can a woman love her son?  Can a boy love his sister?  Can a girl love her brother?  Can a man or woman love their dog or cat?  The possibilities are ludicrous.

When asked to comment about homosexuality Albert Einstein said, "Even dogs know gender."  The Supreme Court needs to heed good ole' Albert.
