What I want in a President
The year 2012 will be here before we know it. Already politicians are testing the presidential waters to see if they want to become a candidate for President come 2012. Me thinks 2012 will be a political year of gigantic proportions. So, I'm getting out front. Here are my requirements for someone I can vote for to be President:
First and foremost I want a candidate that can and will establish beyond any doubt that he or she is a natural born citizen of the United States of America. I want someone that believes in the excellence of the United States. I want someone that has the highest respect for the Office of the Presidency and will act accordingly. I want someone that has the highest respect for our military. I want someone that believes in the traditional values on which our country was founded. I want someone that believes every word in the Declaration of Independence and believes in the sanctity of every word in the Constitution and will fight to uphold it. I want someone with a moral compass founded in Judeo-Christian principles, i.e. believes in the Ten Commandments. I want someone whose word is his bond; someone that says what he means and means what he says, and does what he says he will do. I want someone that can carry on a meaningful and understandable dialog without benefit of a script, notes or a teleprompter, i.e. he can speak fluently with conviction from the heart. I want someone that can and will check all his old baggage at the front door of the White House and do what is best for the American people and the interests of the United States. I want someone that is a dedicated steward of the taxpayers' funds. I want some one with a burning desire to do what is right and whose every waking hour is dedicated to the good of the American people, politics be damned. And, I don't want anyone tainted with Ivy League liberal elitism, particularly Harvard.
I don't see anyone yet that measures up.
