IS SHE JAMADIAN?

I can’t understand for the life of me how it is Kamala Harris can claim to be African-American.  It’s about the same as Elizabeth Warren claiming to be Cherokee.  Kamala’s father is a Jamaican.  her mother is Indian from India. Both immigrants.  The press, as well as Kamala herself, have continually described her racial identity as Black, South Asian, Indian-American, African-American, and Jamaican-American.  It may be that Kamala’s real racial identity is simply Jamadian.
