TERM LIMITS

Term limits isn’t the  answer.  We already have term limits every two years . . . it’s called elections.  Imposed term limits is just a band-aide on a more critical problem . . . the people that vote.  Most are ill informed.  They simply vote based on name recognition.  When a congressman gets booted by term limitation, who files to run in his/her stead?  Another ambitious politician with $$$$$$ signs in his/her head. Most of the voters will simply vote for the one whose name is most recognized. Term limits is only one of a three-leg stool.  The other legs are to make members of Congress live by the exact same laws we all have to live by.  No perks.  No opportunity to become multi-millionaires. That sifts out the chaff.  The other leg is much more difficult . . . educate the electorate.  That has to begin in the elementary educational system and carried all the way through secondary and academic education.  Term limits or recall should be for those (federal judges) who have lifetime appointments.
