IMF - Obama Acquiescence
Another one of the many instances where Obama shows a total lack of knowledge on global geo-politics. He is linking emergency aid dollars to the Ukraine with funding to restructure the International Monetary Fund (IMF) clearly playing to the politics of the liberal left to diminish the power and influence of the U.S. in the world.
Following is Heritage Foundation's Terry Miller explaining a little history on the IMF:
"Believing that the U.S. wielded too much power at the IMF, in 2010 several developing countries initiated negotiations to restructure the organization. These nations demanded a reduction in the U.S. quota and voting power, as well as an election to select the U.S. representative to the IMF board. Unfortunately, the Obama Administration acquiesced to each of these demands."
Miller further said, "This agreement was bad in 2010. . . a fact implicitly acknowledged by the Administration's three-year delay in submitting to Congress. Now, in 2014, it's still a bad deal."
Will this man's incompetence ever cease to amaze?
