Flexibility

Obama whispered to the Russian guy to tell Putin he would be more flexible after he is re-elected.  This gave cause to pause and contemplate what Putin considers to be flexible.
Well, we now know.  Putin saw it as an open invitation to do whatever he so desires.
Flexibility is no substitute for a stiff posture.
