Why the Republicans Lost
The Republicans lost because they are wimps. They forgot who "brung 'em" to the dance. They did not listen to the folks back home. They became like a bunch of yapping Chihuahua dogs while the Democrats were like Pit Bulls. Attack. Attack. Attack. When the Pit Bulls came around all the Chihuahuas did was yap and nervously pee on the carpet. To quote a famous Democrat (Truman): "If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen!"

Hate to say it, but.........I told you so!
The real reson the Repugs lost is because we simply forgot why we were elected. Gov't spending is out of control. Social Issues are not important to most people, this means they are not campaign issues. The War is out of control, I believe the war is just, and we need to do something drastic to get back on track. Also when commenting on the war the message was terrible!
The message for the war should have been related to the common man on a level that he can relate. This level is what happens in his own hometown. Relate the amount of deaths to his home state and see how it compares. When compared to California Iraq looks like sunny Idaho.
The Repugs had no true and resounding message. We have lost our message of fiscal conservatism due to our spending. Now I understand that pork only accounts for less than one percent of our national budget but it is what the public sees the most. It is also what the Democraps use as fodder when talking about Repugs and their out of control spending.
We need to have yet another 1994 where we develop a message that moves and motivates voters to turn out for the Repugs. We will most likely have Hillary Rotten Klinton at the top of the ticket on the Democrat side. This can only benefit us. Even though she has continously fought to get to the middle she will be unable to sustain this now that "liberals" have taken over. The Libbys will Inadvertently drag her back left.
Our message should contain one that relates best to todays family unit. We should focus on Education. We should speak about how the Gov't has failed them and how with a few simple tweeks our nation will once again be the leaders intelligent thought. We should model our education system more like that of the asian countries. We should focus on how the energy crunch is hurting families. We should run on bold new Ideas for energy. Now I am no expert on energy issues but developing and implementing a bio-diesel requirement for the trucking industry would seem to free up plenty of our oil reserves. Also developing further the possiblilities of liquid coal production. The third should be a homoginization of issues. The national defense issue is property of the repugs. Now we do not need to scare people into voting for us but we should however note how new technologies are creating a more efficient and safer military. We should do more than just talk about immigration and how it is important to national defense. We should also have done more than build a fence that is 720 miles long. I am not saying we build a Berlin wall. I am saying that the only real way to solve our problem of immigration is to make Mexico a place that is equal to Canada, dont see them rushing in do you, The economy and way of life in Mexico needs to be comparable. The fourth, and this is where things get muttled, is our foreign policy. I like the whole Teddy Roosevelt type of foreign policy but in todays world it needs a little bit of class. We should keep walking tall and carrying a big stick. We should not however use this stick every chance we get. The rules are simple. You attack us or threaten us then we take you out. You show that you are an evolving peace loving nation then we will do whatever we can to help you out. Now I know this is what we try to do. My stipulation is this, I will not help you unless every other method of help has been exhausted. Meaning we are not the only country that can bail the meek out. It is time for change in the world. If you are not helping yourself then you are not getting help from us. This does not mean I am wanting to promote Civil Wars all over the world. Wasnt it Jefferson that said a little revolution every now and then is a good thing?
Just my rant......My foreign policies are lacking due to my lack of knowledge. I, unlike Repugs of Late, am not afraid to admit it.
It is time for the Newt Gingrich revolution to happen in America!!!
